writer/producer, Martin Gero, says the following on the return of Paul McGillion:

"All I'm going to say is we planned how we were going to bring him back at the end of Season Three, and no one caught it. And that's how we would like it to stay. And that story doesn't come to a boil until the end of Season Four, and that's when we're going to bring him back."

So Atlantis Fans that's your big CLUE!
